Tour de France route details
In Medway the Tour de France will run along the roads listed on this page. There are also maps available for viewing and downloading.
These roads and some neighbouring roads will be closed from early in the morning on Sunday, 8 July until after race has passed in early afternoon. A few roads will also need to be closed overnight on Saturday, 7 July to allow barriers and other race equipment to be set up.
The race organisers have not yet confirmed the time that the race will start from London so it's not possible to confirm exact times for road closures at this stage. We will communicate more information about these as soon as we can.
Medway is hosting the first sprint section of stage one of the Tour de France. This is where riders compete to be first through the sprint finish to collect additional points. This will guarantee exciting sprinting as the riders leave the Medway Tunnel and race towards the sprint finish at the Medway Gate junction.
