Pathway To Zero Waste is a major transformation programme, coupled with market and infrastructure development. It will establish a resource efficient economy in the South East, with materials being recovered for their value and energy potential rather than being wasted to landfill.

PTZW will focus initially on diverting three key waste types from landfill construction and demolition (C&D), food and wood. The infrastructure and market mechanisms which are created will positively impact on other waste streams such as plastics and electronics.
