Bookings now open for WHAT'S STOPPING YOU? - the South East event to inspire women to start in business

Release date: 14 August 2009

Events run throughout October, November and February 2010 and are listed at www.whatsstoppingyouevents.co.uk. Book online or call 01732 878 007.

What's Stopping You? is a series of FREE informal one-day events for women who are interested in working for themselves, or who have been trading for under a year. For the third year Business Link is running a series of full day events across the region, to inspire women to go into business.

Last year's events were oversubscribed so booking early for this chance to get FREE tailored information and advice, is recommended. Delegates will meet and here from successful entrepreneurs and can benefit from the experience of local women who have already set up in business.

The day kicks off at 9.30am with a seminar to introduce women to confident networking. Other talks during the day range from ‘effective marketing' and ‘money matters' to ‘creating a knock-out first impression' as well as a panel session from women telling their business story. There will be an exhibition area, a networking zone and friendly business advisers to answer questions. Everything is free – even lunch and refreshments!

An attendee from last year's event, Sarah Turnbull, Domestic Property Services , recommends that you get down there. Sarah met her current Business Link Adviser, Sara Charlesworth at the event and comments, Sarah said, “The events were really good, informative and friendly. What's Stopping You? was particularly inspiring because there aren't many business women in my line of work. The event made me more determined to be as successful as I can be, and hearing from the female speakers gave me confidence that if they can do it, so can I!”

What's Stopping Your? events are supported by SEEDA.
