How to Catch Customers in your Web

1 October 2007

Searching and understanding the Internet is becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life with ‘Google’ even becoming a verb in the Oxford English Dictionary.

To help organisations make the most of the World Wide Web, Business Link is running a series of free events across the South East entitled ‘Search Engine Success’. The sessions will provide practical lessons for doing business online including tips on how to increase web traffic, enquiries, sales and revenue while reducing overheads.

Business Link’s John Richardson said: “This is an exciting event that will provide attendees with insider knowledge and techniques that professionals use to improve your organisation’s search engine rankings and pay per click campaigns. Cyberspace can be a daunting place but these events will enable people to brief their web designers with confidence and not be intimidated by the ‘science’ of the Internet.

“The Internet offers a unique marketing opportunity but in order to maximise the opportunities available, you need to have an idea of how it works. Pay per click – arguably one of the most exciting forms of modern Internet marketing – has changed enormously over the last year. Companies need to be aware of the latest techniques in order to gain the best return; these events will cover topics including tips for Google AdWords and an overview of Microsoft adCentre and Yahoo! Panama.”

The sessions will take place on:

  • Wednesday 10 October Kents Hill Park Training and Conference Centre, Milton Keynes,
    Buckinghamshire
  • Thursday 11 October The Oxford Centre, Oxford, Oxfordshire
  • Wednesday 17 October Hove Conference Centre, Hove, East Sussex

  • Wednesday 5 December Donnington Valley Golf Club, Newbury, Berkshire
