In November 2006, a collaboration of partners led by Peter Brett Associates put forward an innovative bid to develop intelligent transport systems for SEEDA Funding.
This trial brought together communications systems suppliers, systems integrators, consultants and academic research in partnership with Reading Borough Council to deliver an exciting and innovative trial focused around the delivery of a range of intelligent transport systems and services in Reading.
At the core of the trial is a state of the art communications network which uses emerging WiMAX wireless communications technology in combination with Wi-Fi and the use of the latest mobile phone 3G communications services. Supported by this communications network there are a series of sub-trials, which demonstrate the potential for this communications infrastructure to deliver transport strategy objectives.
This conference presents the work done to date in Reading using intelligent transport solutions and systems. |

The Regional Economic Strategy is relevant to all who have an interest in the future performance of the regional economy. The Strategy does not just belong to SEEDA – it is for the whole of the South East. It does however shape what we do and how we do it.
The Annual Open Public Meeting is an opportunity for SEEDA’s Board and Senior Executives to provide an overview of the Agency’s performance during the past 12 months and highlight plans for the region during the forthcoming year.
Members of the public are invited to attend this major event at Southampton’s City Cruise Terminal, Berth 101, Solent Road, Western Docks, Southampton, Hampshire, SO15 1AJ.
