SEEDA is here to ensure the economic development of the South East of England. Our Disability Equality Scheme– sets out plans and goals for disability equality throughout the region over the coming years, and it's a strategy that includes everyone.
In consultation with a broad range of Disabled People, and disability led organisations, we have produced our draft Disability Equality Scheme which we hope will promote equality of opportunity for Disabled People in the South East of England. This is vital if the region is to increase productivity, secure sustainable growth and achieve equality. For that we need your help.
The following questions have been designed to let you give us your thoughts on how the scheme can be further developed. It's a chance for you to play your part in the scheme's development, and your answers could be crucial to its success.

Innovation

Making the South East a dynamic environment with innovative and creative businesses at its heart is key to the region's success in the global economy.

How easy do you currently find it to access and embrace innovative new technologies that could help you in business?

Transport and Logistics

Being able to easily get to and from the region, as well as travelling within it, is vital to our productivity, which is why improving our infrastructure is a key goal.

What problems have you encountered, if any, in using transport to travel to education and employment facilities?

Land and development

Sustainable growth relies on an adequate supply of quality development land and a good balance between competing land uses.

What are the accessibility issues that you face when accessing buildings and land?

Cohesive communities

Dynamic societies and strong economies depend upon equality and diversity; it means everybody is working to increase everybody else's life chances.

What measures would you like to see us implement to enable you to play a full part in your community?

We want to remove any barriers that are currently preventing disadvantaged groups from contributing to, and benefiting from, the region's economic success.
