Commission for Equality and Human Rights - Survey

Equality, diversity, and respect for the human rights and dignity of every man, woman and child are core values that define our lives in Britain.

Equality is not a minority concern – it matters to every one of us. At some point in our lives, all of us face barriers that may prevent us fulfilling our potential, or participating fully in society.

Delivering prosperity for all means ensuring that every individual has the chance to achieve their potential, free from prejudice and discrimination.

The new Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR) to be established in 2007, will champion equality, diversity, and human rights as defining values of our society, encouraging all our institutions to operate for the benefit of every individual.

Employers and service providers in the public, private and voluntary sectors have an important role in promoting a fairer society for all. The CEHR will need to create strong proactive relationships with them to maximise progress towards equality. It is looking to develop new ways to work with both large and small organisations by taking a balanced and strategic approach to enforcement activity and providing straight-forward and joined up high quality advice and information in one place.

We welcome your views on the service that the new commission can provide to employers to promote improved equality awareness and share good practice. Please take a few minutes to complete the employers' questionnaire.

The questionnaire can be found here.
