IntroductionBusiness+ is a Knowledge Transfer programme aimed to fill the gap between projects run through STEP, student placements and the full 18 months – 3 year Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme. Projects are eligible to run from between 3 and 12 months. The scheme is only available to SMEs, within the SEEDA region, currently without significant interaction with Universities that are seeking to work closely with the knowledge base and to enhance their existing record of recruiting and retaining graduates. A Business+ project can involve any Higher Education Institution within the SEEDA region. Business+ provides skills and new ideas of a high quality graduate backed by University knowledge and resources. It is designed to offer project flexibility as well as training and support to the company partner, academic and graduate. Typical ideas: develop a new product, improve an existing one, optimise production, improve your marketing strategy, or optimise your business methods.
