South East Sustainable Business Partnership - Annual Report 2005 21/04/06
The network has developed since 1996 when the Government Office for the South East (GOSE) began to promote national resource efficiency programmes through local authorities and other bodies. At this time the Department for Trade and Industry (DTI) Advisory Committee on Business and the Environment (ACBE) supported the development of locally focused organisations and subsequently other groups were formed, often complementing the work of local authorities, to promote resource efficiency amongst businesses. The Annual Report 2005 for the SESBP can be opened here as a CDRom.
To celebrate outstanding performance in the region and to highlight exceptional achievement as an example for others to follow. The South East England Development Agency Sustainable Business Awards 2006 aim to encourage, inspire and champion a sustainable approach to business in the South East of England. The Awards celebrate excellence, demonstrate significant sustainable achievements and disseminate best practice widely. The case studies for each company can be seen below:
