BMW job losses – Cowley

SEEDA is working with partners across the region to help co-ordinate a response to the fact that BMW is cutting jobs at its Cowley factory. Recognising the importance of BMW as a major employer in the South East, SEEDA is working urgently with Job Centre Plus and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to offer direct support to the people who have lost their jobs, matching those affected with other local employers or offering retraining.

We will also be working with the local authorities and other partners in the area to help minimise the effects of this announcement.
