Background to Solutions for Business
Solutions for Business is a portfolio of services designed to help businesses start grow and succeed.
The portfolio of around 30 services has been introduced to replace an estimated 3,000 publicly funded services. The new services have been designed with the input of businesses themselves, who for some time have being telling Government that services were confusing, hard to access and often duplicated each other.
Solutions for Business services will be the same throughout England and are designed to be easy to access. The main access point will be via Business Link. If you are a business and would like to find out if Solutions for Business might help you please go to Simpler Support Better Business | Business Link
What is in the Solutions for Business portfolio?
The Solutions for Business services were designed after extensive consultation with business, business representative organisations and other bodies such as Government Departments, local authorities and third sector bodies representing social enterprises.
If you would like to see the consultation documents they are archived here.
The Solutions for Business services were designed to:
- be easy for businesses to understand and access
- be the right services that businesses need at the right point in their development and to be of high quality
- remove duplication and increase value for money
- address market failure – public funding should only be used to provide services where there is a market failure, or social or environmental reason for doing so
Business Link will be the primary access channel for Solutions for Business services. For more details about Business Link please go to Simpler Support Better Business | Business Link
