The Regional Housing Strategy has been produced by the South East Regional Housing Board (of which SEEDA is a member), following consultation with partners and stakeholders across the region. The strategy identifies the key priorities for housing in the South East and sets out plans for investment that will help ensure the delivery of mixed, balanced and sustainable communities. The vision is to ensure that everyone in the region has the opportunity to live in a decent home, with affordability and sustainability being key themes. The main housing priorities for the region are:
- To build more affordable homes
- To bring decent housing within the reach of people on lower incomes
- To improve the quality of new housing and of existing stock
