Marchwood Marine Park in Southampton has been acquired by SEEDA with the objective of developing the area as a key marine employment site by providing a serviced development with waterfront access. The site is being promoted as a centre of excellence for the marine industry and would ideally be suited to boat builders and associated industries that could benefit from locating to the Southampton Water.

SEEDA's Investment
The remediation of this brownfield site will provide serviced plots and land that will facilitate the development of a maritime cluster and marine related industries. The Agency will encourage occupation by companies that can make maximum use of the two operational slipways available.
SEEDA is currently seeking expressions of interest from developers interested in undertaking the comprehensive development of the site to bring forward marine related employment.
